History of Rock and Roll
The Bags

Of all the images I photographed during the initial punk rock scene in Los Angeles, this one is my favorite. It explains the diversity of the scene—in this case highlighting the equal and strong presence of women. It also captures the DIY inherent in this first wave of Los Angeles punk artists—the cheap, but affordable decals on the drum kit. It was our music and our style.
