This was quite possibly the first arena tour for U2 that came through Denver. Of course, they had their legendary Red Rocks show in 1983, which came out on video in 1984. So, by 1985 the band had completely exploded and was about as huge as you can get. So, to come back to Denver and play on St. Patrick's Day was a pretty big deal. Bono grabbed the spotlight, and turned it in the direction of the crowd. I have no idea if it was planned or impromptu, but I knew it was the moment I wanted to capture. I knew I had the perfect shot. To this day I love the amused expression on Bono's face. He's still soaking everything in, maybe not even quite understanding just how big U2 was becoming.
