I was the only photographer permitted to shoot the performance at the popular venue associated with WXPN and was covering it for The Evening Bulletin, a city newspaper & the story by the late Jim McCaffrey. A color print of this image of his hands on the keyboards, reflected in his mirrored sunglasses, was ultimately given to Leon by his lead guitarist, Jason Speegle who hired me to cover the band for more images at BB Kings in Time Square and Sellersville Theater. Leon said it was the best photo ever taken of him and wanted me to talk with his manager, Roy the next day to arrange for it to be his next CD cover. It never happened, because while Roy said my fee was very reasonable, he informed me that "Leon never pays for photos. People want him to use their photos." I said that I did too, but I needed to be paid. Leon having a net worth in excess of $200 Million, I later found out made me feel very sad for all involved, since he was unwilling to spend less than a thousand dollars. : (
