Peter Gabriel. Pittsburgh, Pa, Genesis concert, 1974. Stanley Theater. Downtown Pittsburgh. Camera was a Pentax Honeywell Spotmatic, 35mm. Taken while attending Art Institute of Pittsburgh, for Photography. The theater was built in 1928 for live music venues during the big band era. in 1973 Cinemette Corporation, purchased the Stanley and gave it a half million dollar face lift. Rich Engler brought many top acts to the Stanley during the 70s. Rich Engler and Pat DeCesare-Engler purchased the Stanley in 1977. They turned it into the top music concert hall in the United States.
